MAY is the project of London based solo singer, writer, and producer May Robson. Lyrically, her songwriting encompasses the fleeting thoughts and stories that grow out of the everyday, framed within electronic production, gliding strings and spoken phrases with heavy hip-hop influenced beats. Her delicate and characterful vocals weave through muddy beats of music inspired by the highs and lows of city life. Strong visuals add dynamism to MAY’S live shows, informed by her art school background, she has not hesitated to fuse her love for art and pop music. For the compilation, the bouncy and elastic self-production of ‘LUCKY’, playfully wraps up a strange discomfort.
