Lynks Afrikka – the alter-ego of producer and drag artist Elliot Brett – sets tongue-in-cheek ruminations on sexuality, politics and art to a propulsive brand of avant-pop. Through ecstatic, demented live shows, incorporating drag, theatre and dance, Lynks Afrikka have become London's most popular queer industrial drag comedy pop act of 2019. Sonically reminiscent of Peaches, Confidence Man, The Rhythm Method, LCD Soundsystem and Soulwax they’ve quickly developed a cult-like following across the UK. They’ve played with Goat Girl, Sorry, Oh My God It’s the Church!, Shygirl and Scalping, selling out headline shows at Off the Cuff, The Windmill, The Social and The Love Inn and performing at Edinburgh Fringe festival. Press features have included LOVE magazine, So Young, Loud and Quiet, Metal Magazine, Of How To Make A Béchamel Sauce in 10 (With Pictures), Brett says: ‘People often ask me if this track is a euphemism. To them I say get your mind out of the gutter, and get it into the minimal techno groove of classical French cookery.’
